23. Poison

Poison
Hook has seen the entrance to the cave and so enters to kill Peter. Deciding not to kill Peter in his sleep, Hook drops poison from his eye into Peter's medicine cup and sneaks away.
Tinkerbell (who was banished by Peter after the Wendy shooting incident) has returned, in hiding, and sees Hook place the poison.
Knowing Peter will take his medicine as Wendy has ordered, Tink drinks it as Peter wakes up. Peter sees Tink fall and believes she is about to die.
He picks her up (as he did Wendy after she was shot) holds her tiny still body aloft, and prays to the audience to believe in her.
When they do believe, Tink is healed.
Peter and Tink then race off to save the children.
(In performances, it was often common for the audience to cheer Tink back to life…)
