10. Waltz of Despair

WALTZ OF DESPAIR
Quasimodo enters the church after his whipping and dances this waltz alone. At the end there are two waltzes, a very slow one (simply the original theme) and a quick pizz. underneath. Non-infirm doubles dance the faster figure as a counterpoint, ghostly images of Q’s desire to be free of his life-long infirmity.
